Our next BXpedition
to activate the scenic "Lake Somerton Recreation Area" 20 miles
North of Detroit, MI USA will be SUNDAY, May 25, 2025!
The RC2 BX team will be running multiple barefoot HF stations using a
variety of questionable wire antennas, on mains and batteries located
in EN82, a grid square so mundane it might as well be the "FREE SPACE" on
'Worked All X' score cards.
What's a BXepedition?
A BEER Expedition! Team members will be traveling 10 feet or more
between the operator stations and the beer fridge during the entire
activation, and even farther to use the pisser.
What's BYOTA?
Back Yards On The Air! The whole event is taking place behind a couple of
houses in the neighborhood. You can kinda see the pond I mean Lake Somerton
just past the pine tree the zepp is hanging from.
What's the point?
To get together and have a few laughs, have a few beers and enjoy the
beautiful end of summer weather. Crack open a cold one on your end and see
if you can get all of us on the bands we're working in your logs!
Is RCRC a real club?
RCRC (aka RC Squared) is not accredited nor endorsed by any organization.
There's no officers, no meetings, no dues and no application form.
Ain't nobody got time for that. We're a group of hams that like to
get together to build stuff and throw wire in the air.
